Good Food Good Health – Keeping Young

We all seem to be looking for that one thing that will make us feel better, defy the ever ageing process and allow us to live longer.

Recently I have been asked many times ‘what can I do to keep feeling and looking young’. I always say there are many things we can do but the main aim is for a healthy body and healthy mind.

It would be great if we could just pop along to our local supermarket and buy a product to do this, but this is where we need a reality check – as this is never likely to happen.

Why Martial Arts is the Perfect Sport For Health and Weight Loss

Many people learn martial arts for all kinds of reasons. Some for health, some for weight loss and some for self defense. Others like the thrill of executing high kicks, complex takedowns and sparring.

But a little known fact about martial arts is that it could be what the doctor ordered to burn those fats and build those muscles!

You see, most sports only use either the upper or lower limbs vigorously. Take soccer and kayaking/canoeing for instance. You only use your legs for soccer whilst in a kayak or canoe, only your arms move and your lower body is dormant in the raft.
